Framing + Hanging

Framed canvases are set in an elegant solid wood float frame with a subtle ⅛" shadow gap and arrive ready to hang. Unframed canvases require additional hanging hardware.

General Art Size Guides:

1. If you're unsure, bigger is usually better (size up).

2. The center of your art should be around 56" high.

3. Hang your art 4–8" above your furniture/apartment.

4. Art should take up 2/3 to 3/4 of the space above your furniture.

5. When hanging art above a sofa, it’s best to place 6–12" apart.

6. If you’re centering on a wall, always go with the largest size for that wall.

General Tip: Art should be about 2/3 to 3/4 the width of the  furniture it hangs above. For open walls, use the largest size that  feels balanced. Measure your space and furniture first, then use  the guides below to find the perfect fit. You can use masking tape  to tape off an area and see how it will fit.

DELIVERY:

PRINTS: Ships in 3-5 business days. It most cases, you can expect to receive your order in 7-14 days depending on the size.

ORIGINALS: Ships in 3-5 business days. Original artworks are shipped from my home studio.

TOTES, TOWELS, JOURNALS: Ships in 3-5 business days. It most cases, you can expect to receive your order in 7-10 days depending on the size.

If you order multiple types of products (ie a canvas print and an artisan tote), they will arrive in separate packages, as I work with multiple specialized printing partners, each focused on a specific area of expertise.

RETURNS: If you are unsatisfied for any reason due to a product that arrives in less-than-perfect condition, I will refund or exchange your item within 30 days of purchase. Returns are free.

To be eligible for a return on an original, your item must be in the same condition that you received it. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Returns on digital downloads are not accepted (due to the nature of the product). However, your satisfaction is very important and you can always feel free to reach out to me at hello@juliemaida.com if you ever need help or have a problem with a product.

How to hang framed canvases:

1. Framed canvases arrive ready to hang. Use the small ledge between the wooden frame and the canvas. They are designed to hang flush against the wall if you choose this method.

2. Alternatively, you can also use a wire hanging kit. I have created detailed instructions for how to do this here.

Saw tooth hangers are not recommended for canvas prints.

For unframed canvas prints use a wire hanging kit.
