Hand Painted Heirloom Ornament So beautiful!
I love this tote; love the imprint, much nicer than the picture. Very well made and delivered quickly. I will be ordering others as gifts in the near future.
Everything about this tote is great. The fabric was a little bit of a surprise. Didn’t know what to expect but it’s great. Color is lovely and the length of the handle is perfect!
I recently met with Julie after finding her very helpful art licensing videos on YouTube. Our call was really energetic, and she brought a bright light into every topic we covered. To prepare, I created a list of questions that helped me to figure out ways to stay in the zone and do my best. Julie was very prompt, and stayed in contact before and after the call. She sent me a wonderful .pdf with a detailed summary of what we spoke about, including helpful screenshots of what the scanning process is like for larger works. I especially appreciate how direct she is about this adventure, both online and in our call; we wasted no time getting right to the facts. I'm excited to put everything to use! To get the boring out of the way, the print arrived in a very secure package and was well protected from transit issues-- even with the business of the holidays, it arrived in perfect condition. The print size and quality match the advertised dimensions and the colors are near identical to what was on the screen. I am very pleased with the quality of the materials.
Now, from my artistic POV: I was immediately struck by how the cooling blue tones envelop the space with a sense of peace. It's a fantastic demonstration of the correct balance between positive and negative space. The gentle gradient of blues, paired with delicate, flowing trees, birds, snow, and mountains, create a soothing, almost meditative atmosphere that invites you to pause and breathe deeply.
The selection of each cool blue shade is absolute perfection—each subtle hue evokes a sense of fresh air (I swear I start smelling pine trees and rosemary when I look at it!). The print brings a peaceful energy to the house. It transforms an empty wall into a picture window of the mountains. It almost feels as if the art scene slows time and offers a moment of stillness amid the chaos of daily life with two dogs and three kids.
This print was a Christmas gift from my wife. I have always admired Julie Maida's art and have a number of smaller pieces, but this one struck me differently-- it's more than just a work of art, Julie captured something truly unique and I absolutely love it! I want the others in the set!
